The
Reason for this brochure:
Why
do we need another writing about the words of our
mouths? There
are many very good ones available from people who have
been at this a whole lot longer than I have.
Well, included here are some testimonies that
we have that are our own, and you will be encouraged
to know them.
Then,
there is a study about the mouth, a certain set of
scriptures that I haven’t seen or heard taught by
any other Word of Faith teachers.
I am excited about them, and I think you will
be too!
Finally,
I have included scriptural proofs for the Word
of Faith position, that you
can have what you believe and say.
Testimonies
This
was his first day, and he was nervous.
He was driving, and would soon be at work in a
brand new job. This man is my husband, Tom or T.A.
Boone, and the year was 1983. He was praying, “God,
help!” Soon,
a thought entered his head, and he knew it was God.
He’d been praying and listening to God for a
few years at this time.
God said, “Say: ‘I have favor with my new
employer.’” So
he said it, and it made him smile.
That’s a great thought! But understand, we
had not received any teaching about having what we
say! He
was just obeying God.
He didn’t know what would happen.
He
worked there eight years, and he praised God for
divine favor every day going to work! The entire
remaining brochure could be filled with stories of
that favor working!
Here are a few brief examples:
He had a beard, and was told by some of the
other guys that worked there, “The boss don’t like
beards! You’re
going to have to lose it!”
Well, the boss took a liking to him, and let
him keep it. Don’t
you know the other guys were scratching their heads
about that one!
Several of the guys had service trucks, and
each man was responsible for maintaining his truck.
The boss noticed that Tom’s truck was in
better condition than all the others! Then the boss
told him that he could go order the truck he’d like
to have, with any options on it that he wanted!
“Just pick it out, and we’ll pay for it!”
There
is so much more that could be told, but here is a
synopsis of the eight years: Tom was made fleet
manager over all the trucks; ordered changes that
saved the company huge amounts of money in gas and
maintenance; was given the job of ordering new trucks
(big-rigs!) for the company.
The truck companies would let him keep a truck
for several days to test- drive it.
Tom was in “heaven!”
One truck he ordered, he got to drive from
Kentucky where it is made!
Tom
got to design trucks to his own specifications, and
have them made! He
made the order, and his boss gave him a blank check to
pay for it! That
is God‘s favor!!
In
my mouth
There is a scripture about our youth being
renewed that is such a desirable thing to have, that I
made a study of it.
Psa.103:5, “Who fills your mouth with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”
Comparing various other translations was only
confusing. Really, the best thing to do is to let the
Bible interpret itself.
So, in my Strong’s concordance I looked up
the word mouth, and here are some verses I
discovered.
Num.22:38,
“… The word that God puts in my mouth, that
I must speak.”
Num.23:5,
“…God put a word in Balaam’s mouth.”
II
Sam.14:3, 19, “So Joab put the words in her
mouth.” And then she said, “He put these words in my mouth.”
Isa.51:16,
“I have put my words in your mouth.”
Isa.59:21,
“…my words which I have put in your
mouth…”
Jer.1:9,
“I have put my words in your mouth.”
If
you will notice in Psa.103:5 about our youth being
renewed, the word things is in italics in the
King James or New King James versions. That means it
was put there at the privilege of the translators.
So, if they could put it in, I can take it out!
After reading the preceding verses, it makes a whole
lot more sense without it because God gave us His Word
to say!
In the light of those, these next should make
sense to you now.
Prov.12:14,
“A man shall be satisfied by the fruit of his
mouth.”
Prov.13:3,
“He that keeps his mouth, keeps his life.”
Prov.18:20-21,
“A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from
the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips,
he shall be filled.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Do you see it?
The words that we speak cause us to be
blessed or cursed. Our future is inside us!
(Matt.12:35)
Psa.107:20,
“He sent His Word and healed them …”
He has given us His Word to say, to cause
His will to be done in our lives!
The
brochure, If it’s God’s will, then why
doesn’t it always happen?
explains how to do this.
