The greater One lives in you, I John 4:4, and you have authority over Satan and all his demons, Luke 10:19 (for one). And, Jesus has disarmed him! Col.2:15. Please get my brochure, You have Authority.

Our Job

Submit to God and resist the devil, James 4:7. Learn to use the blood of Jesus by faith, Rev. 12:11; the name of Jesus, Phil. 2:10; and the Word, like Jesus did in Matt. 4:1-11. Wear your armor, Eph. 6:10-17, and recognize that 90% of the battle is in your mind, II Cor. 10:4-5. Satan gives you suggestions, but don’t accept them.  You’ll discover later that he is a liar!

Eph. 4:27 says to give him no opportunity or access.  Intentional sin gives him access, big time! And, we must not be ignorant of his devices, II Cor. 2:10-11.

Where is he?

Satan told Jesus (Luke 4:5-7), “The world is mine!” I hear you objecting, “You just said he’s a liar!”  Yes, but if this were a lie, it wouldn’t have been a temptation for Jesus! And consider these other verses: II Cor.4:4 says that Satan is the god of this world. Eph.2:2-3 calls him the prince of the power of the air. So he operates in our atmosphere.  (Also John 12:31 and 14:30.) In Rev. 2:13 and 12:7-13, it explains that he lives and reigns here, and how he got here.

What can he do?

He accuses us to our Father, Rev. 12:10; He’s a deceiver, Rev. 20:2-3 and 12:7; He’s a liar and a murderer, John 8:44; and he’s like a lion, looking for someone he can hurt, I Pet. 5:8.

Sickness:

Acts 10:38, Jesus healed all who were oppressed by the devil.

Jesus healed a woman, and said that Satan had bound her, Luke, 13:18.

I Cor. 5:1-5, God wanted a man’s body afflicted as sort of a spanking, and got Satan to do it.

A similar situation is in I Tim. 1:20.

Death:

Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy, according to John 10:10.

John 8:44, He is a murderer.

Heb. 2:14, He had the power of death.

I Cor. 15:26, Death is an enemy.

Your Words

God wants you to live a long time! According to Gen.6:3 you can live 120 years! Psa.91:16, Prov. 3:1-2, 3:13-16, 4:10, 9:11, and Ex. 23:25-26 are all verses proving that long life is God’s will. Find out how these promises work in my brochure, If it’s God’s will, then why doesn’t it always happen?

Do you know that you can speak life or death to yourself?  Prov. 18:20, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you stop using words of death to express yourself.

  • I nearly died laughing.

  • I thought I’d die.

  • My feet are killing me.

  • I’m dying to go.

  • I’m starving to death.

  • I was scared to death.

These words will make you die early.

Most dangerous

When is Satan the most dangerous? When he disguises himself as an angel of light! (II Cor. 11:14). He can do miracles, too! (II Thess 2:9). Combine these facts with his ability to deceive, and this becomes very serious!

I know entire churches full of people who think they are hearing from God, but are actually listening to demons! How do I know? People said what they thought God told them, and I knew it was contrary to the Word of God!

Please get my brochures, Helps in hearing God’s Voice, and You have Authority. These will help you to remedy that situation in your life.

Satan is not your Only Problem

There are two more forces on the enemy’s side.  These are the world and your flesh. Let’s take those one at a time.

The World:

Rom. 12:2 says, “Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds…”  If you are not renewing your mind daily with the Word of God, you will be conformed to the world’s way of thinking and doing things. To benefit the most from your Bible reading, read mainly the letters, Romans through Jude.  These were written to and about us. The same verse, Rom.12:2 in the Living Bible says, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world …”

I John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or the things in the world.  If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him…”  John 15:19 says we are not of the world. James 4:4, “Adulterers and adulteresses! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”  James 1:27  “…keep (your)self unspotted from the world.”  There is a long list of verses that could be given to show that God considers love of the world’s ways to be spiritual adultery.  We are called the Bride of Christ, and we are not to love another.

The Flesh:

What is My Cross is a brochure that can explain this a whole lot better than I can in this space remaining. Here are a few verses that give the idea clearly:

Rom. 8:5-6, “Those who live according to the flesh (human nature) set their minds on the things of the flesh. But those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.  For to be carnally (fleshly) minded is death.  But to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Rom. 8:13, “If you live according to the flesh, you will die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.”

Gal. 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Also, Gal. 5:16-17, 24-25, Luke 9:23, II Cor. 3:5, and I Pet. 2:11.
