God’s
Will to Prosper You
Prov.10:22, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no
sorrow with it.”
(The world has a way to wealth, and then
there’s God’s way!)
II
Cor. 8:9, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that
though He was rich, yet for your sakes He BECAME poor,
that you through His poverty might become rich.”
(Chapters 8 - 9 are about money.)
III
John 2 Beloved,
I wish above all things that you would prosper and be
in health, even as your soul prospers. (Your soul is
your mind. So
according to this verse, you cannot prosper above what
you know about God and His ways.)
Deut.
28:1-14 …you
shall lend to many… but not borrow.
The Lord will make you the head and not the
tail…
Prov.
22:4 By
humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honor
and life.
Purpose
for Wealth
Deut.
18:8, God
gives us power to get wealth that He may establish His
covenant upon the earth.
Gen.
12:1-3, God
blesses us to be a blessing, until all the families of
the earth are blessed.
(Gal. 3:29
~ this
is for us.)
II
Cor. 9:8, “God is able to make all grace abound to
you so that in all things, and at all
times, having all that you need, you will
abound in every good work.”
A
Principle in the Word
Sowing and reaping, Gal. 6:7-9,
Giving and receiving, Phil. 4:15-19, and Seed-time and
harvest, Gen. 8:22. This principle is in many verses.
Here are a few:
Luke 6:37-38, “Judge not, and
you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall
not be condemned.
Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Give, and it will be given to you, good
measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running
over will men (KJV) put into your bosom.
For with the same measure that you use, it will
be measured back to you.”
Matt.
7:1-2, “Judge not, that you be not judged.
For with what judgment you judge, you will be
judged; and with the measure you used, it will be
measured back to you.” Compare James 5:9, “Do not grumble against one
another …”
I Pet. 3:9, “Not returning
evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the
contrary, blessing; knowing that you were called to
this, that you may receive a blessing.”
II
Cor. 9:6-7, “He who sows sparingly shall reap also
sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall reap also
bountifully….God loves a cheerful giver.”
Conditions to Prosper
Psa. 145:18 He will fulfill the desire of him who fears (respects and
obeys) Him.
Psa. 37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give
you the desires of your heart.
Psa. 84:11 “… No good thing will He withhold from those who walk in
integrity.”
Prov. 8:18, 21
(Wisdom speaking) Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and
righteousness; that I may cause those who love me to
inherit wealth, that I may fill their treasuries.
Prov. 15:6 In the house of the righteous, there is much treasure.
Prov. 22:4 By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honor
and life.
Psa.
34:9-10 Oh
fear the Lord, you His saints!
There is no lack to those who fear Him. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek
the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
Psa.
112:1, 3 Blessed
is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in
His commandments.
Wealth and riches will be in his house and his
righteousness endures forever.
What
is the Fear of the Lord?
If you will read Exodus 20:18-20, you will see
that to fear God is to hate to sin.
Prov. 3:7 agrees: Fear the Lord; depart from
evil. Also,
Prov.16:6, “By
the fear of the Lord, men depart from evil.
So
How do I Prosper God’s Way?
If
you will make a list of every condition given in these
verses, you will have a good guide to follow.
And you should see right away that this isn’t
going to be a drive-through experience.
To put it another way, it’s going to take
some time and effort.
Joshua
1:8, “This
book of the law shall not depart from your mouth but
you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may
observe to DO according to all that is written
in it. For
then you will make your way prosperous, and
then you will have good success.”
Getting
rich the world’s way is easier and quicker, but
God’s way will see you doing well even if the entire
monetary system crashes. You’ll be tied to God’s
system!
There are several of my brochures that should
be helpful to you if you are serious about pursuing
this. Who

Message; Spiritual Growth; The Portrait of a
Growing Christian; If It’s God’s Will, Then Why
Doesn’t it Always Happen? (How Faith Works) and
Helps in Hearing God‘s voice.
This last one is necessary because God
will not trust you with more wealth until you learn to
obey Him with what you have.
Probably the hardest part is seeking God first.
It’s extremely easy to get your eyes on money
as the goal instead of your relationship with God,
your new Father.
Make your aim to really know Him, to love Him,
and spend a lot of time with Him.
I Tim. 6:6-8, Be content.
Vs. 9, If you desire to be rich, you’re
headed for trouble. Vs. 10, the LOVE of money is the
root of all evil.
Vs. 11, Flee these things and pursue
righteousness (also Matt.6:33).
Mark 10:23-24, It’s hard for
those who trust in riches to make it to heaven.
Prov.
28:20, “A faithful man will abound with blessings,
but he who hastens to be rich will not go
unpunished.” |
