Just because it’s God’s will, doesn’t mean it will automatically happen!

Three verses say it’s God will that everyone be saved:  II Pet. 3:9, Matt.18:14, and I Tim.2:4.   Look at Heb.4:2 and you will see what makes it work:  “For indeed, the Gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with FAITH in those who heard it.”  So one has to hear the Word about salvation, and believe it to be saved.  The New Testament is full of similar verses.  John 3:16 is one:  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOEVER BELIEVES in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”  Read on and you will see that faith is what makes all the promises work!

If you are expecting God to move sovereignly and take care of your need, you may be waiting a long time.  You probably don’t realize it, but you are actually expecting God to do something contrary to His Word!  Later, there are six verses that say we are to live by faith.  God expects us to use our faith and win in every area of our lives!  In my brochure, Faith Facts there are more verses than in this one to verify these truths.

Faith is the force that makes The Word work!

To help you with this:  Eph.1:9--  (Paul prayed  that  we  would  know)  the  exceeding  great  power  for us WHO BELIEVE.

I Thess.2:13   …we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it, not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the Word of God, which effectively WORKS IN YOU WHO BELIEVE.

Mark 9:23,   Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

In twelve out of nineteen healings in the gospels, Jesus said, “Your faith has healed you”  or, “According to your faith be it done to you.”

Faith is a decision; not a feeling.

John 20:24-27   Now Thomas …was not with them when Jesus came.  The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord!”  (This is following the resurrection.)  So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I WILL NOT BELIEVE.”   And after eight days, His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them.  Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you.”  Then He said to Thomas,  “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands, and reach your hand here, and put it into my side.  Do not be faithless, but believing.”  And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”  Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed.  Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Thomas decided to not believe, and Jesus called that being faithless.

Faith is choosing To believe God’s Word; Not circumstances.

I Cor.5:7  “For we walk by faith, not by sight”  It could be said, we are to live by believing, and not by our five physical senses.

Heb.11:1  “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  That last line in the Amplified Bible reads,  “… Faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.”

Faith must be in two places; in your heart and in your mouth.

Rom. 10:8-10  But what does it say?  “The Word is  near you, in your mouth and in your heart.”  That is, the word of faith that we preach.  That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

II Cor 4:13  And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke.”  We also believe and therefore speak.

Mark 11:23   Assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have what he says.

Words are the steering wheel

Joel 3:10  (God was trying to raise up an army from farmers.  He told them through His prophet,)  “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’” Rom.4:17  “… God, who gives life to the dead, and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.:”   That is how God created everything.  Read that in Genesis 1.  And in Eph. 5:1,  we are told to imitate God!

Jesus spoke to the wind and waves, a fever, and a fig tree; and He said in John 14:12, “He that believes in me, the works that I do will he do also …”  In Acts, you’ll see that the disciples also spoke to things and got results.

In James 3:2-6, the tongue is compared to several small things that direct very large things;  a rudder on a ship, a bit in a horse’s mouth, and a spark to a forest fire.   In James 3:2,  “…if anyone does not stumble in word, he is a mature man, able also to bridle (or control) the whole body.”

Faith obtains our Victory

I John 5:4  For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.  And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our FAITH.  Read the first three chapters of Revelation, and notice how many promises are to overcomers!  Eph. 6:16 tell what part faith plays in our spiritual armor to be victorious:  “Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”   So, developing and learning to use your faith is of utmost importance in life!  There are SIX verses that say we are to live by faith!   Hab.2:4, Rom.1:17, II Cor.5:7, Gal.2:20, and 3:11,  and Heb.10:38.

The Process:

1.  Find verses that promise what you need, or state that what you’re wanting is God’s will.

2.  Write these down on 3x5 cards to keep with you.  Read them out loud as often as you can every day!  Faith will come with time!

3.  Praise God for it as if you already have it.  This is not for other people to hear.  Mark 11:24 says to believe you receive it and you shall have it.  God has already done His part.  Your faith gets it.

4.  The more you speak it, the more you will believe it in your heart that you have it.  When the thing becomes so real inside you, it will manifest.  You must see yourself with it.

5.  Don’t quit no matter what it looks like or what the dr. said.  Keep speaking faith, and God will change the facts. You must bombard every negative thought with the Word of God. How to Use Your Sword and Shield will help you. My Faith Facts brochure gives things that will make it not work.

6.  Speak to your problems:  “Heart; be healed, work right, be strong!  Mind; be quick, bright and sharp! Bills; you are paid!” Babies and small children respond well to your faith.  You can command healing or peace, or whatever is needed.  If an adult is your problem, keep your speaking private. Tell God, “As long as it takes, I‘m standing firm in trust and confidence in You, and he is not too hard for You!”  See my brochure, Can I change my family?
