An
Adventure
Knowing that God loves you is a growing
adventure. Most
people, if they are church-going people, or ever have
been, will readily agree, “Yes, I know God loves
me.” But this is most usually a mind thing, and it
hasn’t affected the heart at all. The way to know is
to ask yourself some questions:
Am I at peace with myself and my life? Do I
worry, or get upset over things that I cannot control?
Does anything or anybody make me afraid? Are there
people I don’t like very much ~ or even a lot?
Knowing God’s love deep in your heart brings
peace and firm confidence. Nothing is worth getting
upset about. No
one can upset me because I know that I’m loved.
Furthermore, I know that as long as I obey God,
He will take good care of me and do whatever I ever
need. After
all, I’m
special to God. He
loves me!
Are you wanting to get started on this
adventure? Then use these verses as food for your
thoughts, and nibble on them all day. Whenever your
mind is idle, mull over one of these verses.
Chose one for the day, and purpose to dwell on
it at every idle moment. The idea is to squeeze every
bit of good from one verse that’s possible.
God’s word is oh, so rich.
Meditating on God’s Word (what
this is) brings blessings galore. Joshua 1:8 and Psalm
1:2-3 explain that. I John 4:18 says that perfected or
full-grown love drives out fear.
That’s why I said it’s a growing thing.
One more hint: Saying them softly, but out-loud benefits you by helping
faith or believing to grow. Faith comes by hearing and
hearing, with your ears,
Rom. 10:17.
As long as you are hearing the Word, faith is
coming. More
Word equals more faith ~ that God loves you!
